CISD Demonstration Classroom Program

Crowley ISD is developing a network of Demonstration Classrooms to model best practices during classroom tours and to assist the district in building a video library. Demonstrations Classroom Teachers are selected to demonstrate and record best practices for teachers, coaches, specialists, and administrators visiting their classrooms.

Amanda Fuller: Poynter Elementary, 2nd grade
- Texas A&M Commerce
- 1 year of experience
“I chose the teaching profession because I, myself, am very passionate about learning and want to inspire students to also become life-long learners. Teaching is like a two-way street.  You get back exactly what you put in.”
Picture
Jessica Hilbert: Crowley Middle School, 8th grade Science, Inspire Academy
- University of Texas of the Permian Basin
- 4 years of experience (2 with CISD)
“I was a supplemental instructor for chemistry in college and loved it.  During pharmacy school I was unhappy because I had lost that feeling of loving what I was doing.  That was when I decided that loving what you do is a gift and I wasn’t willing to let that go….so here I am. Teaching is like doing laundry because there is always a load of students that need some learning.”
Picture
Ashley Holliday: HF Stevens Middle School, 8th grade Math, Inspire Academy
- Texas State University
- 7 years of experience (3 years with CISD)
“I want to help mold/shape young minds to be successful and respectable human beings!”
‘Teaching is like learning because you learn more from others as you teach.”
Picture
Anne Keiser: Crowley Middle School, 8th grade History, Inspire Academy
- Azusa Pacific University
- 1 year teaching experience (1 year with CISD)
“I chose the teaching profession because I love working with kids and inspiring them to be life-long learners. Teaching is like surfing because it requires patience and often more observation than action.”
Picture
Erin Kveton: Summer Creek Middle School, 8th grade Science, Inspire Academy
- UTA
- 8 years of experience (all with CISD)
“I chose this profession because of the influence of teachers I had. Teaching is like having a hundred balls thrown at you and someone yelling CATCH."
Picture
Michael McDaniel: HF Stevens Middle School, 8th grade Science, Inspire Academy
- UTA
- 10 years of experience (all with CISD)
“I enjoy working with the kids and watching them grow through-out the year. Teaching is like a box of chocolates because you never know what you are going to get.”
Picture
Natalie McDaniel: Summer Creek Middle School, 8th grade History, Inspire Academy
- McMurry University
- 9 years of experience (all with CISD)
“I enjoy working with children and helping them reach their full potential. Teaching is like gardening because after some time, added with some work and patience, there will be growth of all shapes and sizes.
Picture
Niki Molina: Summer Creek Middle School, 8th grade ELAR, Inspire Academy
- Texas Woman’s University
- 4 years of experience (all with CISD)
“Watching my god-mother teach and seeing the passion she had inspired me to want to teach.  Teaching is like being a chef in a restaurant because there are a variety of items on the menu, but the chef adds the creative touch that makes each dish unique.”
Picture
Stefanie Michele Ward: Summer Creek Middle School, 8th grade Math, Inspire Academy
- Prairie View A&M University, Texas Woman’s University
- 10 years of experience (6 years with CISD)
“Kids matter and this generation needed a champion! Teaching is like swimming in the south pacific because there are certain waves you cannot control, it’s tiring and can be scary, but is an enjoyable and rewarding experience.”
Picture
Natasha J. Wilson: Crowley Middle School, 8th grade Math, Inspire Academy
- Dallas Baptist University
- 6 years of experience (3 years with CISD)
“I chose to teach because I saw a need with students struggling with math and I wanted to be a part of the solution.  I wanted to contribute my knowledge and expertise to students who needed it. Teaching is like driving in traffic because we are all trying to get somewhere successfully and we have to work together to get there without stopping others from reaching their destination.”
